He said the assorted food items include 13,825  bags of  sorghum, 9,500 bags of millet,  11,500 bags of maize and  24,000 bags of rice.

“To ensure we reach more households, the state government has topped-off with  23,000 cartons of noodles, 5,000 bags of rice,  500 bags of sorghum and 5,000 bags of maize respectively, “ the governor stated.

The commissioner for special duties, Hon. Auwal Dalladi Sankara, said, the beneficiaries were selected from across the 27 local government areas of the state.

He said the distribution was a continuation of series of palliatives and empowerment packages embarked upon by Governor Umar Namadi from which over three million people had benefited in the state.
