JUST-IN: Bandits Kill 2, Kidnap 5 Others In Fresh Attack On Kaduna Communities

Rampaging bandits stormed Kumana Chiefdom Kwassam Ward in Galadimawa Town as well as Rumaya communities of Kauru local government area of Kaduna State in a renewed attack, killing two persons and abducting five others.

Three other persons also sustained varying degrees of gunshot injuries when the hoodlums launched deadly attack on the communities.

The bandits who stormed the communities in their numbers, shot sporadically during the attack which occured on Monday, leaving the villagers traumatised.

Confirming the attack, a resident of T/wada Garmadi, Rumaya Kwassam Ward, Mr Joel Ahada, strongly condemned the heinous act, describing it as a blatant disregard for human rights and the safety of rural dwellers.

Ahada lamented, “Has our government turned a deaf ear to our plight? We demand urgent action and protection for our communities!”

He identified the victims as Shehu Umaru and Philip Barde and those that sustained gunshot injuries as Vincent Danjuma, Francis Habila and Amu Bawa.

Also, the Ahada gave names of the kidnapped persons as Shekarau Umaru, Nathan Danjuma, Augustine Samuel, Dawo Bawa and Hon. Christopher Sayi.

He called for prayers for the peaceful repose of the souls of the departed, and safe release of those kidnapped while asking God to grant quick recovery for the injured.

Efforts to get reactions of the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Kaduna State Command, DSP Mansir Hassan was not successful at the time of filing this report.
