Kaduna Killings: Tinubu Orders Security Agencies To Hunt Attackers, Rescue Abductees

President Bola Tinubu has condemned the deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kaduna State, directing security agencies to intensify efforts to track down the perpetrators, rescue abducted residents, and restore peace to the affected community.

The President gave the directive following the attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area, in the early hours of Monday, during which about 30 people, including women and children, were reportedly killed. Several houses were also set ablaze by the attackers.

Tinubu described the incident as a “barbaric and cowardly act of terror” against innocent and defenceless citizens.

The directive was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

“I have directed the Armed Forces, police, and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected areas to track down the perpetrators swiftly, secure the release of abducted individuals, and restore normalcy to the region,” the President said.

He vowed that those responsible for the attack would face the full weight of the law, stressing that criminal elements seeking to undermine the relative peace and security being enjoyed in Kaduna State would not succeed.

President Tinubu also extended his condolences to the families of those who lost their loved ones, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, the state government, and the people of Kaduna over the tragic incident.

He assured the Kaduna State Government and the affected communities of the Federal Government’s continued support in tackling insecurity and protecting lives and property.

“Our administration has an unwavering commitment to strengthening security infrastructure, equipping response personnel, and neutralising criminal networks attempting to disrupt the peace of the nation,” he said.

The President further appealed to residents to work closely with security agencies by providing credible and timely information that could help prevent future attacks.

“I urge our local communities to cooperate with security forces by providing actionable intelligence that would help early response efforts,” he added.
