“A total of 141,715 candidates from public schools under Kano Education Resource Department (KERD), the Science Board, and Arabic and Islamic Education Department (AIED) sat for the exams with over 75% qualified for state sponsorship,” he stated.

According to him, the initiative will cost the state over N3billion, and was part of the State government’s aggressive efforts to enhance educational access, promote academic excellence, and reduce financial burdens on families across the state, especially the vulnerable.

While reaffirming the commitment of the state government under the leadership of Governor Abba Yusuf to youth development and economic growth through education, the Commissioner urged school principals to ensure that all eligible candidates unconditionally access their results transparently.
