The acting governor of the state, Faruk Jobe approved the review of the curfew after receiving a positive report from security agencies.

However, the ban on unusual gatherings and protests remain in place throughout the state.
The acting governor commended security personnel for their professional handling of the situation and thanked parents, guardians, and community leaders for cautioning their children and youths against participating in violent activities.

The state security council has also announced the arrest of several youths in connection with the recent violence, looting, and vandalism. Some of those arrested have already been charged to court for various offences, including criminal conspiracy, public disturbance, vandalism, and theft.

Barrister Faskari in a statement signed by his director Press, Malam Abdullahi Yar’adua, said the Security Council had once again appealed to the public to remain calm and law-abiding, as all hands were on deck to guarantee the safety of lives and property.
