Katsina Eases Curfew In Dutsin-ma LGA

The Katsina State government has relaxed the 24-hour curfew imposed on Dutsin-ma local government area following an improvement in the security situation.

The acting governor of the state, Faruk Jobe approved the review of the curfew after receiving a positive report from security agencies.

However, the ban on unusual gatherings and protests remain in place throughout the state.
The acting governor commended security personnel for their professional handling of the situation and thanked parents, guardians, and community leaders for cautioning their children and youths against participating in violent activities.

The state security council has also announced the arrest of several youths in connection with the recent violence, looting, and vandalism. Some of those arrested have already been charged to court for various offences, including criminal conspiracy, public disturbance, vandalism, and theft.
