Managing director of the Kebbi State Home Savings And Loans Limited, Birnin Kebbi, Dr Ahmed Musbahu Bunza, has disclosed that the only surviving indigenous banking institution in the state is now operating online after 25 years of its  establishment.

He told journalists during an interview in his office in Birnin Kebbi that the feat was due to the joint efforts of the owners and governing council, board members and help of Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris.

He noted that the bank can henceforth compete with other commercial banks in the state and the country as a whole in terms of digital revolution initiated by the management of the institution.

He lamented that the bank, had experienced many challenges such as manual operations, insufficient capital, regulators threat, lack of board members, and staff motivation among others. He noted that all these challenges have been resolved and eliminated within two and a half years of the intervention of the management of the bank and Kebbi State government.
