The Kogi State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo, has justified the party’s decision to grant Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan an automatic ticket for a second term, citing what he described as her “rare achievements” within just two years in the Senate.
Speaking at a party event in Okene, Gambo described the lawmaker representing Kogi Central Senatorial District as “a pride of representation” and a shining example of effective leadership.
According to him, Akpoti-Uduaghan’s performance in the National Assembly has distinguished her among her peers, making her a natural choice for continuity.
“If in just two years she could deliver such impactful legislative service, then she deserves the full backing of her people,” Gambo said.
He emphasised that the senator represents “a winning team you don’t change,” expressing confidence that her return to the Senate could position her for a principal leadership role.
The PDP chairman further urged other elected officials to emulate her “sterling and uncommon qualities,” noting that her approach to governance reflects integrity, dedication, and a strong commitment to the welfare of the people.
Gambo also described support for Akpoti-Uduaghan as a vote for inclusiveness and grassroots development.
“A vote for her is a vote for the less privileged, for orphans, and for women’s development. It is a vote for integrity and sincerity in representation,” he said.
He called on the people of Kogi Central to rally behind the senator’s re-election bid, stressing that her performance has set a new benchmark for legislative service in the district since 1999.
