Lagos State government has revealed that it is collaborating with the state’s taskforce to ensure smooth vehicular movement and reinforce public order on their ever busy roads.

The state commissioner for transportation, Mr Oluwaseun Osiyemi disclosed this to newsmen in Lagos, adding 28 vehicles were impounded at the Berger Bus Stop along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway (outbound Lagos) for illegally converting designated layby into a makeshift garage during the recent operation carried out to improve the traffic flow within the metropolis.

Osiyemi further explained that seamless traffic movement was restored to aid commuter’s free access to their desired destinations.

Reiterating the ministry’s unalloyed commitment to upholding traffic regulations across the state, the commissioner assured that the enforcement drive would continue routinely to ensure that Lagos roads remain orderly and free from congestion.

He added that the state government will no longer tolerate indiscriminate parking of vehicles on its roads, saying anyone found culpable would be prosecuted.
