Manchester United have agreed to a loan deal with Napoli for Rasmus Hojlund, with an option to buy.
The deal, worth a total of €45 million, includes a loan fee and an obligation to buy if Napoli qualifies for the Champions League.
Confirming the imminent deal on his X handle, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano wrote, “Rasmus Højlund to Napoli, here we go! Verbal agreement done between all parties involved.
“Loan deal for €6m fee with buy option clause to become mandatory under certain conditions worth €44m.
“Højlund said yes to Napoli days ago, set for medical in next 24h.”
Hojlund, 22, has struggled to find his footing at Manchester United, scoring only 10 times in 52 appearances last season.
The arrival of Benjamin Sesko has further reduced his chances of playing regularly.
Napoli’s interest in Hojlund comes after Romelu Lukaku’s thigh injury, which is expected to keep him out for several months.
