The new chairman of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Ilupeju/Gbagada District Society (IGDS), Dr. Titilayo Eni-Itan Fowokan, is expected to bring innovation, inclusive growth, and strengthened member engagement to the district.
Dr. Titilayo Eni-Itan Fowokan is the 5th chairman and, notably, the first female chairman of the District Society, after being invested at a landmark event in Ikeja, Lagos.
Dr. Titilayo Fowokan’s investiture marks a significant milestone in the history of the Ilupeju/Gbagada District and the wider ICAN community. It reflects the growing recognition of excellence, diversity, and capable leadership within the profession.
Speaking on the development, the outgoing chairman, Dr. Samuel Taiwo Abey, harped on Dr. Fowokan’s unwavering commitment to professional excellence, ethical standards, and service, which have been consistently demonstrated throughout her illustrious career.
With her vision and passion, Abey assured progressive contributions to the Institute’s agenda within its jurisdiction and beyond. “Her tenure promises to be one of innovation, inclusive growth, and strengthened member engagement. He said the entire district looks forward to a tenure defined by impactful service and transformational leadership, and he congratulated Dr. Titilayo Eni-Itan Fowokan and the new executive committee members.
Aber, the district chairman for 2024/2025, revealed his achievements, among which were the birth of three brand new District Societies, all of which were approved by the ICAN Council.
