President of ACCI, Emeka Obegolu, said this at the Nigeria-Brazil Trade Mission on Monday in Abuja.

Obegolu, said that by leveraging Brazil’s expertise in sectors like agribusiness, energy and healthcare,   the country could enhance its capacities, boost exports and create new opportunities for the populace.

He said that Brazil’s readiness to explore and support the exports of  Nigerian products highlighted a balanced trade relationship.

According to him, this mutual exchange is essential for sustainable economic development, as it ensures that both nations benefit from the partnership, creating a win-win scenario that drives growth on both sides.

He said that Brazil’s long standing commitment to Africa was another reason for the optimism.

“Over the years, Brazil has shown a genuine interest in supporting Africa’s development, not just through trade but also through investment, knowledge transfer and cultural exchange.

“This commitment is particularly important as we navigate the challenges of sustainable development

“Agribusiness, energy and healthcare are critical to our efforts to build a sustainable and inclusive economy,”he said.

Obegolu identified the gathering as a testament to the strong and growing relationship between the two nations.

“It is heartwarming to have representatives from Brazilian businesses here, exploring opportunities and seeking partnerships within our borders.

“This shift not only underscores Nigeria’s growing stature as a hub for international business, but also aligns perfectly with our goal of making Nigeria a central player in the global economy.

“This trade mission is an opportunity to build on our shared values, leverage our unique strengths and create a future of shared prosperity” he said.
