Ghana High Commission in Nigeria has said the country offers substantial business prospects.

Deputy High Commissioner Eddison Agbenyegah stated this at the Ghana-Nigeria Leadership Summit and Achievers Award 2024 held in Abuja on Thursday night which aimed to enhance diplomatic relations between the two nations.

Eddison expressed confidence in the economic potential of both countries, stating, “I want to assure Nigerians that there are significant business opportunities in Ghana, and Ghanaians should know that Nigeria also offers lucrative ventures.”

He pointed out that while Nigeria is a large country, isolated incidents of kidnapping do not reflect the overall safety of the nation, saying many areas remain unaffected by threats like Boko Haram and other criminal elements, which are primarily confined to specific regions in the Northeast. He emphasised that every nation experiences some level of crime.

“Nigeria is peaceful and ready for business. The African Continental Free Trade Area presents an excellent opportunity for businesses to tap into other African markets,” he added.
