Director-general of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, who conveyed the nomination via a letter to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, noted that the award was a direct result of Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s impressive strides in the field of Information Technology.

The award was earned through a series of remarkable initiatives of the Governor Inuwa Yahaya- led administration through exceptional policies which encompass a wide array of accomplishments, including significantly reducing the Right of Way fee thereby promoting digital infrastructure development, providing essential ICT gadgets to various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to enhance their efficiency and productivity, and implementing an advanced system for automated revenue collection within the state, streamlining financial processes.

Other areas are digitizing the Gombe Geographic Information System (GOGIS) to facilitate effective and efficient land management across the state, revolutionizing the payment of salaries through automated systems, ensuring swift and precise disbursements and introducing Biometric Machines at both the state and local government levels to combat truancy among civil servants, fostering a more diligent work culture.
