“We need a new result at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games by improving on the 1996 Atlanta Games, where Nigeria won two Gold medals,” he said.

According to the NOC President, Nigeria won two good medals in the Atlanta Games in 1996 through Chioma Ajunwa in long jump and the Nwankwo Kanu-led Dream Team in soccer.

He, therefore, called for better performance in the Paris Olympics, even as the country also prepared to participate in 2024 Youth Winter Games and the African Games.
