NSF 2024: Team Bayelsa Retains Early Lead On Medal Table

Team Bayelsa has maintained its early lead in the medal standings at the ongoing 22nd National Sports Festival (NSF), aptly named ‘Gateway Games 2024’, taking place in Ogun State.

After four days of competitive action, the riverine state tops the medal table with an impressive tally of 16 gold, six silver, and five bronze medals. Defending champions, Team Delta, have made a significant leap from Day 3 to secure second place with 10 gold, five silver, and six bronze medals.

The official medal table, released by the technical team of the Games, shows Team Osun in third place with six gold and one silver medal. They are closely followed by Team Rivers in fourth position, boasting five golds, three silvers, and four bronzes.

Completing the top five is Lagos State, currently in fifth position with four gold, seven silver, and ten bronze medals. Oyo State ranks sixth, also with four gold, two silver, and six bronze medals.

Team Akwa Ibom occupies the seventh spot with four gold and one silver, while Plateau State sits in eighth place with three gold, two silver, and six bronze medals. Cross River is in ninth position with three gold, one silver, and one bronze medal, and Team Edo rounds out the top ten with two gold, 15 silver, and 16 bronze medals.
