Ododo described the late as an older brother in whom he had found a worthy compatriot, noting that their last meeting was in March 2024 when he came in the company of stakeholders from Omala Local Government Area on a solidarity visit to him during which they had useful discussions on developing the state.

The Governor urged the family of Alhaji Idris to take solace in the fact that the deceased lived a life filled with worthy accomplishments as a politician and a businessman.

Governor Ododo prayed Allah to grant the former lawmaker eternal rest and for his family to find the fortitude to bear the loss.
