The Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers chairman, Eze Linus Mba, said that the governor, Alex Otti, had written his name in gold and endeared himself to the people.
Eze Mba spoke to LEADERSHIP on the sidelines of the inauguration of the newly reconstructed Umuahia-Uzuakoli-Akara-Abiriba Road by former president Olusegun Obasanjo at Uzuakoli.
He said that by fixing the 46.4-kilometre road, Otti had opened an artery of opportunity and given a lifeline to communities in the four local government areas along that axis.
The monarch further maintained that the road would impact the people’s economic lives and assist the farmers in moving their farm products to the urban areas.
“This marvellous achievement has ended incessant breakdown of vehicles and avoidable accidents that were then associated with the road due to bad spots,” the business mogul asserted.
Explaining that the governor had transformed the state and the economy in less than two years in office and made the people proud, assured him of their continued support.
Similarly, Emmanuel Ndubuisi, representing the Bende South constituency in the state House of Assembly, expressed appreciation for “what Otti had achieved on the road.”
