In a statement made available to journalists in Abuja, president-general of the group, Comrade Goodluck Ibem said, the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Mr Okey Ahaiwe and the APC gubernatorial candidate Mr Ikechi Emenike should apologise to Ndi-Abia for distracting Governor Otti whom the people of Abia had freely chosen.

“We commend the judiciary for defending democracy and for upholding the truth on who the good people of Abia State gave their mandate.
“The victory of Governor Otti at the Supreme Court is a call for more hard work, development, performance and transformational leadership.

“We call on Ndi-Abia to disregard the antics of anti-democratic forces in the state who failed woefully to distract Governor Otti with mischievous litigations. Abia is in safe hands. We commend Governor Otti for bringing Abia out from 8 years in Egypt into the promised land. The people are very happy for the judgement.

“We congratulate Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi state, Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano state, Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau state, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state, Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state and other Governors for emerging victorious at the Supreme Court today, ” they said.

The coalition call on Ndi-Abia to continue to support and pray for Dr Alex Chioma Otti as he takes Abia State to greater heights.
