LEADERSHIP recalls that armed men in Army uniforms with acclaimed Yoruba Nation insignia, swooped on the Oyo State Secretariat on Saturday where they intended to forcefully take over the State House of Assembly before they were dislodged by combined efforts of security agents.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, CP Fatai Owoseni (retd.) confirmed the demolition of the house located at Toye Oyesola Street in Ibadan South West Local Government Area of the state.

Twenty-nine (29) suspects arrested in connection with the foiled armed invasion were on Wednesday arraigned by the police before a Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan.
