The decision was reached during an expanded meeting of key stakeholders comprising party executives, leaders and political stalwarts from the zone, held at Retnan Suites, Jos.

The chairman of the PDP Central Zone, Hon. Monday Daspan, who set the tone for the meeting, said Governor Mutfwang has raised the bar of governance in Plateau State through exceptional leadership that has endeared him to citizens.

He noted that within just two years, the governor has taken bold, progressive steps that have repositioned the state on the path of sustainable development. He described the governor as “God’s gift to Plateau, sent to recover and rebuild the state in line with the vision of its founding fathers.”

Consequently, Hon. Raymond Deshi, former Chairman of Kanke LGA, moved a motion for the endorsement of Governor Mutfwang for the second tenure in view of his leadership qualities that have restored hope and confidence of Plateau people in government.

The motion was seconded by a former Public Relations Officer of PDP,  Hon. Yakubu Salami who reaffirmed his hope that Plateau will rise and shine brightly under Governor Mutfwang.
