The police have arrested a member of staff of the Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA) and seven others for allegedly looting a government warehouse.
Police spokesman Suleiman Nguroje in a statement made available to newsmen yesterday said they apprehended the suspects-Mohammed Umar Misa of ADSEMA, Abubakar Dahiru, Mustapha Suleiman-members of vigilante group.
Also nabbed are Fatsuma Sule, Fatima Mohammed, Hussena Adamu, Emmanuel Anthony and Azumi Anthony residents of Limawa for the same crime.
Nguroje said their arrest followed reliable information received about the crime.
He said the command upon receiving the information designed a security ring around the warehouse situated at Limawa ward, Yola-North local government, and arrested them.
He said investigations had been conducted so far, leading to the recovery of 98 bags of maize, millet and guinea corn, among others.
