Police Minister Mourns Buhari, Describes Him As Pillar Of Security

Minister of Police Affairs Senator Ibrahim Gaidam has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Nigeria’s former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as the country’s pillar of security.

The minister described the late Buhari as a towering figure whose legacy in national security and public service will stand the test of time.

Gaidam, in a heartfelt condolence message to the Buhari family, the government, and the people of Nigeria, highlighted President Buhari’s pivotal role in strengthening Nigeria’s security architecture, including his decisive action to re-establish the Ministry of Police Affairs, an enduring testament to his foresight and commitment to national safety.

He said, “President Buhari’s contributions to the Nigerian Police Ecosystem were significant and far-reaching. His administration approved critical funding for fuel supplies to power police operational vehicles nationwide, underscoring his unwavering dedication to the welfare and effectiveness of our security institutions.”

Senator Gaidam noted that Buhari’s leadership, marked by integrity, discipline, and devotion to national development, left an indelible impact on Nigeria.
