A pro-All Progressives Congress support group, Grassroots Mobilisation for APC PBAT Nationwide (PBATGMAPC), has launched a nationwide mobilisation campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections, declaring support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.

The group made the declaration yesterday during its flag-off world press conference in Abuja, where its national chairman, Engr. Anthony Adeola Oladejo, said the movement would mobilise support for the president and all APC candidates across the country.

Speaking on the theme, “Mobilising Nigerian Citizens for Inclusive Governance, Democratic Participation and APC Victory in 2027,” Oladejo described the movement as a citizen-driven platform aimed at deepening democratic participation and strengthening grassroots involvement in governance.

According to him, the group has established structures across the 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory, local government areas, wards, and polling units nationwide.

He said the APC had officially recognised PBATGMAPC as an “A” category support group for the 2027 elections due to its nationwide mobilisation efforts and organisational structure.

Oladejo said the movement’s endorsement of President Tinubu was based on confidence in the administration’s reforms and Renewed Hope agenda.

“Today, on behalf of the Board of Trustees, National Executive Committee, State Coordinators, Ward Leaders, Polling Unit Coordinators, and millions of members of PBATGMAPC nationwide, we proudly, openly, and unequivocally endorse Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the 2027 Presidential Election,” he said.

He added that the group would activate its grassroots structures nationwide to mobilise citizens, strengthen voter participation, and promote political education ahead of the polls.

The APC support group also pledged to work for the victory of all candidates of the ruling party in the 2027 general elections.

Oladejo described the movement as a platform to bridge the gap between citizens and government while promoting inclusive governance and democratic participation.

He called on Nigerians, youths, women, community leaders, and party faithful to join the mobilisation drive ahead of the 2027 elections.

Also speaking, the group’s National Secretary of Defence, Eric Adile Ireajugh, described the event as the official unveiling of a national political mobilisation platform aimed at deepening democratic participation and strengthening grassroots engagement.

He said the movement evolved from years of community-level political engagement and has now attained recognition within party structures as a category “A” support organisation for the 2027 election cycle.

Ireajugh said the group’s objectives include nationwide mobilisation of voters in support of APC candidates, consolidation of grassroots structures, and promotion of citizen participation across all geopolitical zones.

He explained that the organisation had already established operational presence across polling units, wards, local government areas, and states, describing it as one of the most structured grassroots mobilisation networks within the party.

The national secretary added that the group’s agenda includes formal endorsement of President Tinubu’s re-election bid, mobilisation for APC candidates at all levels, and strengthening grassroots political engagement ahead of the polls.

He said the movement is committed to what he described as a “grassroots awakening” aimed at ensuring electoral success through broad-based citizen participation.

PBATGMAPC expressed confidence that its nationwide structure would play a significant role in consolidating support for the ruling party as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
