It was further gathered that the rainstorm, which occurred between 5:30 and 6:p.m. also destroyed the Badminton Court located within the LNRBDA.

An eyewitness told LEADERSHIP that a section of the newly renovated Badminton Court collapsed and fell on the deceased.

Findings also showed that the Badminton Court has been sealed with the collapsed section visible from outside the structure.

Efforts to get the response of the spokesperson of the LNRBDA on the incident proved abortive at the time of filing this report.

A staff of the authority who spoke on condition of anonymity described the incident as “very tragic,” saying it happened unfortunately during the rain on Monday.

Musa who was described as an amiable Badminton Coach by some of his trainees was said to have been crowned as the 2025 MKA Taekwondo Championship held at Ede, Osun State.
