It was gathered that the bridge was the major link connecting Igbope in Oorelope local government area and Kishi in Irepo local government area in the Oke Ogun geopolitical zone of the state.

It was learnt yesterday that the bridge collapsed as a result of a flood that washed it away.

It was revealed that thousands of people in the affected communities were currently stranded as the bridge was the key route for economic, social and agricultural activities in the region.

As of the time of filing of the report, the bridge remained unfixed which paralysed social and economic activities in the area.
