Former Al-Nassr player Shaye Sharahili has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo attempted to observe the Ramadan fast for two days last year but found it too challenging to continue. The 41-year-old Portuguese superstar has been playing for the Saudi giants since January 2023, having joined as a free agent.

In an interview with Thmanyah Sports, Sharahili explained that playing professional football during Ramadan can be particularly difficult for most players, especially foreign athletes, due to the significant changes in their daily routines.

“Cristiano Ronaldo tried fasting for two days during Ramadan, but he found it really challenging,” he said (via Kooora.com).
This quote sheds light on the physical demands of fasting while maintaining a professional sports career.

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly embraced life in Saudi Arabia with enthusiasm since his move three years ago, actively participating in various cultural activities across the country. Some of his Muslim teammates have even commented that the renowned player inspires them to remain steadfast in their religious beliefs.
