Vice President Kashim Shettima is billed to visit Ilorin, the Kwara State capital on Saturday to attend the 30th anniversary of Ghalib Chambers, the law firm of Malam Yusuf Ali (SAN).
Also expected at the event are the attorney general of the federation and minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), the chief justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, and former governor of Lagos State, Mr Babatunde Fashola (SAN).
A statement signed by Kunle Akogun on behalf of the organising committee, indicated that the Ghalib Chambers’ 30th anniversary, which holds at the Banquet Hall, Ilorin, will feature a special lecture on
“Presidential or Parliamentary System of Government: Where is the Convergence?” to be delivered by former Governor Raji Fashola of Lagos State.
The statement added that the Kwara State governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq will be the host while the emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, is the royal host.
Other programmes lined up for the celebration include a novelty football match between Ghalib Chambers and Kwara NUJ team on Thursday at the Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin and dinner and award night on Friday.
