The chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Sokoto State Chapter, has called for national unity that transcends religious, ethnic, and regional boundaries, urging Nigerians to confront adversity with collective resolve and unwavering faith.

He made the call yesterday at the 2025 Easter Praise and Prayer Celebration hosted by the association at the Trade Fair Complex, Old Airport, Sokoto.

The “He Is Risen” celebration drew Christians from diverse denominations, tribes, and communities across the state, all gathered in a spirit of worship and intercession for Nigeria’s peace and revival.

“Today, we gather not merely to celebrate, but for spiritual renewal, unity, and intercession. We unite across denominations, tribes, and tongues to raise our voices in praise and lift our hands in prayer.

“We pray for peace in our land, for the safety and well-being of every citizen. We pray for wisdom for our leaders, healing for the brokenhearted, and we call forth peace, righteousness, justice, revival, and unity among our communities.”
