Sylva, Irabor, Others To Attend Focus Africa Women Forum

Focus Africa, a prominent organization focused on promoting African development, is set to host a Women Forum this September.

The event aims to highlight and celebrate the achievements and challenges faced by women in Africa.

 

The Women Forum, scheduled to take place on September 24th, 2023, will bring together influential women leaders, human rights activists, business women, and representatives from various African countries.

 

Personalities to grace the event are: Her Excellency Mrs Sylva, Hajiya Mariam Salihu Ibrahim, Amb. Dr Unyime Ivy-King, Mrs Blessing Irabor, Efe Usin, Lilian Abuyere, Sophie Ejelue and other high profiled women will be in attendance.

The event will provide a platform for these women to discuss pressing issues such as gender equality, women’s education, entrepreneurship, and female empowerment in Africa.

 

With a visually appealing theme of “Leading in difficult times,”the Women Forum seeks to address the socio-economic, political, and cultural hurdles that hinder the progress of African women. It also aims to inspire and motivate young African women to pursue their aspirations fearlessly, despite the challenges they may face.

 

In a statement signed by to the founder, Sucex Bright, said: “The Focus Africa Leading Women Conference plays a critical role in driving this change by providing the platform and by creating spaces that elevate, amplify and empower women, our range of events inspire attendees, offering hope for a future of true gender equity through vibrant and impactful Programs for Networking and Educational opportunities.

 

“Over the years, Focus Africa Series have held high-powered annual events that brought together a unique collection of female leaders from business, government, media and entertainment, artisans and even market women from 27 countries, to promote entrepreneurship, inclusion, gender diversity and to break the bias women face in order to address stereotypes. We provide platforms that help every woman re-imagine, rebuild and reset the pathways of change to unleash the power within them.

 

“On Sunday 24th of September 2023 at Abuja Intercontinental Hotel by 4pm, we will be launching the Focus Africa Women Forum, a platform where high flying women will meet with the emerging ones on a quarterly basis to address challenges faced by women in the formal and informal sector across Africa, including those related to poverty, inequality, and financial inclusion. Other major focus will be on Women with no regrets, powerfully Connected people and why women rock he added.

 

“At this official launch, Focus Africa will open opportunities for membership so that women can find Mentors in fields where they belong, and Foster Career Growths and Professional Development, Capacity Building, Networking, Market Intelligence, Access to International as well as Local job opportunities.

 

“This Forum will help those in needs benefit from the Focus Africa series intervention programs such as Princess Dr. Omotade Folashade Abiodun Entrepreneurship Fund, at the last edition of this event; she donated 5 million which was distributed amongst business women to help the scale up their businesses.

It will be an evening of many varieties with fireside chats, launch of the Nigerian chapter of the Focus Africa Women Forum, cocktail, Music, Comedy and dance performances from Gully Rider, ATI Dancers, Alex Talk and a host of other entertainers.
