Tech Herfrica, a social impact organisation committed to bridging the digital divide and breaking the cycle of poverty among women and girls in rural African communities, has won the MEA Business Award 2025.

The organisation emerged winner in the ‘Best Digital Inclusion Initiative 2025 Africa’ category, in recognition of its outstanding efforts in promoting social inclusion and equity through technology.

Announcing the award on its verified website, MEA Markets stated: “We are delighted to officially announce the winner of the MEA Business Award 2025 as the Best Digital Inclusion Initiative 2025 – Africa.”

The MEA Business Awards celebrate organisations that are driving growth, adapting to change, and making meaningful impact across regions and continent.

Tech Herfrica has been widely recognised for its work in improving digital literacy, increasing access to smartphones, and enabling the meaningful use of technology to boost income opportunities for rural women.

In 2023, the organisation also won the SDG Digital Game Changers Award, presented by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), for its contribution to sustainable digital development.

Reacting to the latest recognition, Founder of Tech Herfrica, Imade Bibowei-Osuobeni, expressed gratitude to the award organisers and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to empowering women through innovation.
