Renowned therapist and mental health advocate, Fabian Igbaji, delivered an inspiring and deeply reflective session at the Unstoppable Woman Impact Summit held in Abuja at the weekend.

The summit, convened by The Unstoppable Woman Network Africa, brought together female leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals from across the continent for a day of learning, empowerment and strategic engagement.

Addressing participants, Igbaji examined the connection between emotional wellness, personal development and effective leadership, stressing that true empowerment begins with self-awareness and intentional healing.

He urged women to recognise and confront the internal barriers that often limit their potential, noting that unresolved emotional experiences can influence decision-making, relationships and career progression.

“Part of healing is accepting that we do not, and cannot, know everything,” he said, adding that while personal experiences shape perception, they do not reflect the entire reality. According to him, embracing the unknown—rather than fearing it—offers a path to peace and growth.

He encouraged attendees to prioritise the present moment as “the most vital tool for transformation,” explaining that meaningful change occurs when individuals allow themselves to grow beyond the pressure of perfection.

Participants described his session as enlightening, practical and liberating, praising the depth and clarity he brought to issues of mental health and everyday living.
