Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) has pledged its support the administration of President Bola Tinubu, with a promise to provide the enabling environment for the government to succeed.

The national chairman of the association and chairman of Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi stated this in a statement yesterday in Abuja.

Abdullahi said the emergence of Tinubu will bring blessings and prosperity to Nigeria, West Africa, and Africa as a whole.

“We will give Tinubu the desired support to succeed, Nigerians across the 774 local government areas can only do better if there is unity. The emergency of Tinubu during the primary and general elections is a clear testimony of acceptance by Nigerians,” he said.

He said his victory was a clear testimony that Nigeria’s democracy is maturing and urged various tiers of government to synergize for good governance and deliver on the socioeconomic needs of the citizens.

The ALGON chairman further said the 774 local governments of Nigeria are fully ready to support the new administration.
