Troops of the Operation Hadin Kai Joint Taskforce (OPHK) North-East have neutralised 14 Boko Haram terrorists, recovered cache of arms, illicit drugs and Urea fertiliser often used by the terrorists in making explosives.
According to the Theatre Command of OPHK, the major successes were recorded across Borno and Adamawa States between September 21 and 27, in coordinated operations across multiple locations.
The military Command said on September 27, 2025, troops during offensive operations neutralised 11 terrorists at Loskori Kura in Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State and recovered 4 x AK 47 Rifles and other assorted arms, ammunition and cache of drugs, adding that another terrorist was neutralised on the same day at Konduga LGA of the State during a night offensive operation.
The Command further said on September 22, troops neutralised a Boko Haram scout at Kolori Karumi, West of Alau Dam in Konduga Local Government Area of the State.
The military source said similarly on September 24, a fighting patrol in Zar Village, Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State, recovered one AK-47 rifle, while troops at Forward Operating Base in Magumeri local government area of Borno State intercepted another rifle from two suspected kidnappers.
The source said, “On 25 September, gallant troops repelled a large-scale attack on Forward Operating Base Azir in Damboa local government area of Borno State, killing one insurgent and recovering 3 x AK-47 rifles and materials for Improvised Explosive Devices.
“In addition to these operational successes, troops intensified strangulation efforts to deny terrorists access to logistics. On 27 September, forces intercepted large quantities of urea fertilizer abandoned in shops at the Central Market, Mubi North, an item often used in producing explosives. The same day, patrols recovered 20 jerricans of smuggled Premium Motor Spirit along Fillin Ball–Gella Road in Mubi South after smugglers fled the area.
“These actions further deny insurgents critical resources required to sustain their campaign of violence.”
The Military High Command commended the troops for their gallantry and reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining aggressive operations against terrorism in the North-East region.
