Troost-Ekong Lauds D’Tigress Historic Win Over Canada

Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong has heaped plaudits on the D’Tigress following the team’s remarkable victory over Canada.

Rena Wakama’s side sealed a place in the quarter-finals of the women’s basketball event following a hard-earned 79-70 victory over world number five Canada.

D’Tigress are the first African team, male or female, to reach the quarter-finals of Olympic basketball.

Troost-Ekong took to social media to celebrate the team’s historic feat.

“Amazing achievement, let’s go all the way!” he wrote on X.
