The Tanimu Turaki-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described the N50,000 Cash Relief of the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government to vulnerable Nigerians as a panic reaction ahead of the 2027 election.
The opposition party added that the ruling party’s plan reflects growing apprehension within its administration.
The party however said the alleged actions would not change what it described as the decision of the majority of Nigerians to vote the APC out of power.
Speaking to LEADERSHIP Sunday, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Ini Ememobong, said the Federal Government’s actions were a sign of panic.
He said, “It is a part of the panic reaction of the APC-led Federal Government. They are now behaving like a person who is faced with imminent drowning, and is left with no option than to straw-clutch.
“These panic reactions will land them nowhere than out of power, which is the decision of the majority of Nigerians.”
Ememobong maintained that the PDP viewed the alleged actions as desperate measures by the ruling party, insisting that they would not prevent the political outcome the opposition party says Nigerians desire.
