A member of All Progressives Congress (APC) Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Comrade Adeboye Adebayo, has said that under the administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu that will by the grace of God commence on May 29, 2023, no Nigerian civil servant or worker will be favoured with promotion, appointment or other incentives against another based on religion, ethnicity or will be discriminated against under any guise, rather all Nigerian workers will be treated equally under the civil service rules and merit.
Adebayo stated this while having an interactive and sensitisation meeting with some civil servants, representatives of youths and students groups in his office in Maitama, Abuja, on Monday.
The visitors had raised the alarm over allegations going on in the civil service where some heads of agencies of government indiscriminately promote some junior officers ahead of their seniors because of their religion or ethnic group they belong.
Also the youths complained about the indiscriminate arrest and detention of Nigerians by the Police across the country, saying the incident was rampant in the country.
In his responses to the concerns, the APC Campaign Council spokesman, Adebayo, reiterated the commitment of the APC presidential candidate, Tinubu, to fairness, fair play, justice, merit, equality before the law and egalitarianism among all Nigerians including the civil servants, noting that language or actions will be more than body language in Tinubu administration.
Adebayo also expressed Tinubu’s commitment to the administration of criminal justice system, saying that no Nigerian will be arrested and detained indiscriminately without recourse to the law of the land.
“Bola Tinubu is a staunch believer of democracy, rule of law and egalitarian society, Nigerians should be rest assured that all of this attributes will form the basis for his administration. In his manifesto, adequate provisions were made for improvement on the implementation of administration of criminal justice and holistic judiciary reforms,” Adebayo stated.
He, therefore, urged the visitors to go all out not to vote Tinubu alone in the forthcoming elections but to canvass, mobilise, influence and defend votes for the APC across board and at all levels of the 2023 elections.
