The All Progressives Congress (APC) North West zone has said it will tackle any misinformation by the opposition aimed at demarketing President Bola Tinubu and the ruling party ahead of the 2027 elections.
In a statement issued by APC North West Zonal Publicity Secretary, Musa Mailafiya Mada, on Saturday after it maiden meeting held in Kaduna, the APC vowed to give Tinubu and the party’s candidates the highest votes in the 2027 general elections.
According to the statement, “The meeting was chaired by the National Vice Chairman, Hon. Garba Datti Muhammad. The meeting focused on taking majors that will make the zone sustain its leading position of producing the highest number of votes for any candidate that emerges as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria since 1999”
The statement added, “The meeting agreed to collaborate with all critical stakeholders of the party in the Zone to ensure total victory for all the party’s candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections, especially President Tinubu, the seven state governors from the zone who are all members of the party, as well as the National and State Assembly members.
“The Hon. Garba Datti Muhammad led Zonal Executive officials, who adopted a campaign of fact as the model through which the party will be advocated. This is a process where the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be advocated based on the dividends of democracy it provides the North West geopolitical Zone, ranging from infrastructure, education, health, security and various developmental programs being carried out by the North West Development Commission, which is a creation of the President Tinubu-led administration, among others”
“The Zone also insists on maintaining the existing peaceful atmosphere that kept the party united and vowed to remain vigilant in mending any foreseeable crack that may emerge in the cause of the upcoming buildup to the 2027 general elections”, the party said.
