The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has declared its readiness to win elections in Bauchi State.
The newly elected state chairman of NNPP, Ahmed Tijjani Aminu, said this after the inauguration of the party’s structures at the state, local government, and 212 wards in the state.
Speaking at the event which was held on Monday in Bauchi, the state capital, Aminu said the party’s solid grassroots network has positioned it to play the role of a credible opposition by holding the Bauchi State government accountable and offering people-centered policies as an alternative.
He urged the public and aspiring politicians to take advantage of what he described as a rancor-free platform to pursue their ambitions, noting that leadership is a divine gift and not exclusive to the ruling party.
According to him, all party executives at every level are expected to work with humility, diligence, and honesty toward actualising the party’s mission of winning future elections in the state.
“All our executives shall operate in strict compliance with the rule of law, party supremacy, and respect for democratic values.
“While engaging the people in constructive discourse, we will uphold the highest standards of maturity expected in a democratic space,” Aminu said.
He further encouraged citizens to participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise by INEC, while disclosing that the NNPP has commenced its own membership registration across all 212 wards of the state’s 20 local government areas.
“Our goal is clear, we are ready to work assiduously with any serious-minded politician. The ultimate objective is to win elections and provide Bauchi people with genuine, people-oriented leadership,” the chairman said.
