Yobe State governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has meet with the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, over the recent killing of scores of the people of Mafa in Tarmuwa Local Government Area of the state.

Governor Buni expressed concern over the new trend of terrorists’ incursion into the state where they attack, kill and loot properties in soft targets along the borders.

According to a statement signed by Mamman Mohammed, his director general Press and Media Affairs Buni, started, “Sadly, three days ago, we recorded terrorists attack on Mafa, a border village with Borno State, and few days earlier, in Geidam, a border community with Niger Republic, in which we lost several lives.”

He added, “Generally, there have been great improvement in security across the state, except for the recent incursion of the terrorists from across the borders, attacking the border communities. I have discussed extensively with the CDS to find a lasting solution to these incursions and attacks on the border communities.
