The Zamfara State Police Command has rescued seven abducted victims following a late-night bandit raid in Gusau Local Government Area.

The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on March 25, when heavily armed bandits stormed the residence of Muhammad Lawal in Nasarawa, Damba District. The attackers abducted his wife and six children in a terrifying operation.

However, in a swift response the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) deployed a patrol team to the scene. The officers engaged the fleeing attackers in a fierce gun duel, forcing the bandits to abandon their captives and escape into the dark.

At a moment all seven victims are rescued unharmed and safely reunited with their families.

The police further urged residents to continue supporting security agencies with timely intelligence, stressing that collaboration remains key in the ongoing fight against bandits in Zamfara.
