Former member representing Jos South/Jos East federal constituency, Hon. Musa Bagos, has said Plateau State Governor Barr Caleb Mutfwang is redefining governance and setting an unprecedented pace of development in all sectors.

Bagos told our correspondent in Jos that, “Based on verifiable facts and growing public confidence, I wish to unequivocally state that Governor Mutfwang will be the most difficult governor to be challenged by the opposition in the 2027 general elections because it will be about the candidates, not party or national powers.

“From massive road constructions in both urban and rural communities to health sector reforms and improved education infrastructure, Governor Mutfwang has shown courage, competence, and a clear vision for a prosperous Plateau.

The former member of the House of Representatives also stated that the governor’s strategic investments in human capital development—especially youth empowerment, job creation, and technical education—have reignited hope in the Plateau dream.

Bagos further noted that during his recent media chat with the people of Plateau State, Governor Mutfwang boldly reaffirmed his commitment to “restore dignity to Plateau citizens and rebuild the state to a place of pride in Nigeria,” he stated:

“We are not here for politics. We are here to serve. Our eyes are on the future, and we will not be distracted by cheap political noise. The people of Plateau deserve nothing but the best.”

“These are not mere words. Under his leadership, landmark projects are being commissioned, abandoned projects are being revived, and critical infrastructure—like rural roads, health centres, and water systems—are receiving deserved attention.

According to Bagos, Governor Mutfwang’s openness to development partnerships, both locally and in the diaspora, is another strong pillar that has repositioned the state on the path of inclusive growth and transformation, adding that the people are seeing the difference, they are feeling the impact and that Plateau is no longer begging for development, it is experiencing it.

“By 2027, the facts on the ground will speak louder than propaganda. The Governor’s performance is his campaign. As things stand, no serious observer can deny the reality: His Excellency, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, will be the most formidable governor to challenge (if they can) in the next election cycle, he said.
