8 Die, 6 Injured In Bauchi Fatal Road Accident

At least eight persons have been killed and six others injured in a fatal road accident at Shadarki village along Bauchi-Darazo Road in Bauchi State.

Our correspondent reports that the accident occurred on Wednesday involving a private Hilux van and a Gulf-3 model taxi car.

Confirming the incident, Bauchi Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Yusuf Abdullahi, said two male adults, three female adults, two male children and one female child lost their lives.

He said the injured victims were taken to Darazo General Hospital for medical attention.

The FRSC Sector Commander further explained that some of the injured victims sustained fractures, bruises and head injuries.

Abdullahi blamed wrong overtaking as the cause of the accident even as he advised motorists to always obey traffic rules.
