This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to supporting small businesses and addressing production challenges in the country.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is scheduled to commission the projects which are part of the National MSMEs Shared Facility Scheme.

The projects include the installation of six hybrid Solar Systems in MSMEs clusters located in Nasarawa, Enugu, Borno, Adamawa, Ekiti, and Ondo States. Additionally, there will be the establishment of modern tailoring and fashion facilities in Delta and Kogi states.

The fashion hubs in Delta and Kogi are recognized as major centers for the fashion industry in the South-South and North-Central regions, respectively. The remaining six facilities were developed in collaboration with the respective state governments.

The Kogi facility, located in Okene, aims to create a conducive environment for garment makers and fashion designers in the state, enabling their sustainable growth.

It has 200 world-class manuals, fully automated fashion equipment, and a capacity to serve 350 MSMEs daily and 110,000 yearly. Equipped with advanced machinery such as Monogram Machines, Industrial Pressers, and Screen Printing Machines, the facility is poised to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Similarly, the Delta tailoring and fashion hub, situated at the Asaba Vocational Centre, is equipped with state-of-the-art machines to facilitate optimal performance.

In addition to the shared facilities, solar systems have been installed in Nasarawa, Enugu, Ekiti, Borno, Adamawa and Ondo states.
