U20 World Cup: MTN Salutes Gallant Flying Eagles

Communications giant and Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)’’s official communications partner, MTN, has joined millions of Nigerians in saluting the tenacity of the Flying Eagles on their 2-0 victory over Hosts Argentina in round 16 of the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup tournament tagged Argentina 2023.

Coach Ladan Bosso-led boys eliminated host nation Argentina as goals from Ibrahim Muhammad and Rilwanu Haliru Sarki sent the six-time champions out of the tournament at the Round of 16 on Wednesday.

On an incredible night in western Argentina, the Flying Eagles pulled out every trick in the book to defend in numbers and then score two goals on quick counter-attacks that had the Albiceleste, who had won all their three matches in the group phase, crashed out of the tournament on home soil.
