Governor Babagana Zulum Thursday visited Damboa town and Garjang community, both in Damboa local government area of Borno State and ordered the building of a new General Hospital in Damboa township because internally displaced persons currently occupy the existing hospital in search of shelter.
The new general hospital which will be a modern one, will be in addition to the existing facility with the aim of increasing public access to quality and affordable medical services.
“As you can see, the hospital premises is occupied by internally displaced persons. Therefore, we will construct a new hospital complex around the existing one which even after the IDPs leave, will serve as an extension to provide medical services for the increasing needs of the growing population,” Zulum said.
