JUST-IN: 1 Killed As Church Building Collapses In Benue

A church building in Markudi, Benue State capital, has caved in, leaving the Pastor of the church dead.

The Dunamis Church, located at Mission Ward North Bank in Makurdi, collapsed in the early hours of Tuesday.

According to Channels TV, four persons, including the pastor, who were praying in the church building before the incident occurred, while three others escaped.

Although the cause of the incident was unclear at the time of this report, some residential buildings and electricity infrastructure around the building were also affected by the incident.

LEADERSHIP gathered that Police operatives from the ‘C’ Division, North Bank, Makurdi were already on the ground while emergency officials and responders tried to reach the scene of the collapsed building.
