Comrade Osaze Kabaka, popularly known as Enogie Kapuepue, has warned people he called ‘hypocrites and psycophants’ to desist from dragging the name of the Great Benin Kingdom in order to ‘catch cruise’, saying failure to heed the warning will not be taken lightly.

Comrade Osaze Kabaka stated this against the backdrop of actions and activities of unscrupulous elements, whom he accused of tarnishing the image of the Benin Kingdom of Edo State by using its excellent global perception to protect their nefarious activities.

Kabaka, who is a vocal voice on issues of development in Edo State, stated further that ever since the creation of Edo State on August 27, 1991 by the General Ibrahim Babangida administration, the State has produced magnificently outstanding and distinguished personalities both males and females, who have served not only the state but the entire Nigeria meritoriously.

According to Comrade Osaze Kabaka, it was sad to realise that some bad eggs from the state were hellbent in using the good name of the State to “catch cruise” because of their own personal and selfish benefits.

“The good people of Edo State have built a sort of tremendous image for their land both nationally and internationally; hence, no individual or group will be allowed to disrepute the state’s image or hide under her identity to be engaged in frivolous acts and unwarranted attributes,” he stated.
