The budget, tagged: “Budget of Renewed Economic Growth”, allocated N101.99 billion, representing 17 per cent, for recurrent expenditure, and N491.2 billion, representing 83 per cent, for capital expenditure.

The majority leader, Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi (APC-Owerri West), while speaking on the bill, said it would ensure the execution of a lot of developmental projects for the good of the state.

According to him, the governor had been prudent in spending the 2023 budget, particularly in the area of reconstruction and rehabilitation of roads in the state.
