The initially proposed budget of ₦311,388,525,661.96K, submitted by the governor to the State House of Assembly, was increased by the members by an additional ₦2 billion.

Asserting the budget, the governor pledged to remain steadfast and committed, ensuring that every allocated fund would be judiciously utilized for the state’s development.

“The documents I am assenting to here in your presence do not merely represent numbers and figures on paper but encapsulate the wishes and aspirations of our dear Taraba State,” he stated.

The State House of Assembly, led by Speaker Hon. John Kizito Bonzena, passed the appropriation bill into law earlier on Friday.

During the bill’s passage into law, the members recommended that the state government should take measures to block all leakages, such as multiple receipts and bank accounts used by revenue agencies, to ensure that all collected funds are credited into the appropriate accounts of the state government.
