Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted eight travellers in Oshokoshoko, along Kabba/Obajana/Lokoja road on Saturday evening. Those kidnapped include two students, two women and four men.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the incident occurred last Saturday around 5pm when the passengers who were travelling from Kabba to Lokoja took off from the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall, Kabba.

Elupo Eliazer, a physically-challenged person whose wife is among the victims, said the kidnappers have called to demand first for N30 million but reduced it to N2.6 million after negotiation.

He said “My wife and I were travelling to attend our church convention scheduled for Lokoja, but I decided to follow a different vehicle as the Toyota could not contain all of us, else I would have been in the car with her.”

He said that the vehicle his wife boarded was ahead of the one he was in but all the occupants of the vehicle have been marched into the bush by the time his own vehicle got to the spot.
